In January 2005, Sheridan Lutheran Church and Mudio Lutheran Parish in Tanzania began a sister congregation relationship. Through this relationship, the congregations have the opportunity to share in prayer and service with the hope that they will build one another up in mission and ministry. In February 2007, the first team from Sheridan (other than Nebraska Synod Visions Trips) spent five days with the people of Mudio. As an expression of our partnership, we worshipped, prayed, worked, sang, laughed, and cried together.

Since 2005, Sheridan members and friends have been participating in the Nebraska Synod Vision Trip to Tanzania. The groups travel throughout the Northern Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, visiting various ministry sites and meeting the people who are serving in them. In February 2007, six from Sheridan teamed up with others from around Nebraska to make the vision trip.
